A while ago, I got pulled into the world of vertical dramas through the app Reelshort and reviewed a ton of dramas on the app. Well, I'm back, and this time I've watched a ton on their competitor app, Dramabox.
There's a ton to watch, so I limited my watching to the romance genre (since that's the biggest genre on the platform), English-language shows, and stuff that looked at least decent from the first episode.
Here's my recap of everything I watched—and what's worth your time and coins.

A Deal with the Hockey Captain
Starring Lydia Pearl Pentz & Jake Galluccio
When team captain, Troy, agrees to help Dora win the attention of her crush, complications arise that make her question where her heart truly belongs.
My Verdict: So freaking cute! The actors have big time chemistry and the lead actress is peak lovable nerd.
★★★★★ MUST WATCH!

Boss She Said No Again
Starring Volodymyr Pielikh & Alexa Reddy
After Rowena saves the life of mafia heir Damien Kingsley, he becomes deeply obsessed with her. When he discovers that she's engaged to his brother, he becomes determined to break them up and win her for himself.
My Verdict: I liked it, but didn't love it. Volodymyr Pielikh is in his zone as a mafia boss, but the female lead doesn't quite match his energy. And in comparison to its plot dupe, Reelshort's Love is a Dangerous Dance, it just falls short.
★★★☆☆ It's entertaining.
Trigger Warning: dubcon/coercion

Christmas Homecoming of My Trillionaire Husband
Starring Noah Fearnley & Molly Anderson
Riley Diaz, a powerful businessman behind the Wharton Group, spends Christmas with his in-laws while keeping his true wealth a secret. As they dismiss and belittle him, assuming he’s a nobody, only his wife stands firmly by his side, unwilling to judge him by appearances.
My Verdict: This was absolutely absurd. It's not quality, but it was definitely entertaining!
★☆☆☆☆ SO BAD, IT'S HILARIOUS!

Craving My Brother’s Best Friend
Starring Cayla Brady & Evan Adams
Alison Scott has had a crush on her brother's best friend for years. When she accidentally emails him erotica she wrote starring him, she hopes to let the whole thing go and never see him again, but he turns out to be her new roommate.
My Verdict: The leads are great and have strong chemistry. Lots of fun!
★★★★☆ Worth a watch!

Starring Catherine Wilson & Cristian Lager
On her first day as a scholarship student at a wealthy school, Hailie immediately has a run-in with rich boy Cole. Their rivalry grows until Cole discovers that Hailie is actually his secret online girlfriend, the gamer girl he knows as ValleyQueen33.
My Verdict: I enjoyed this quite a bit and the lead actors both gave good performances.
★★★★☆ Worth a watch!

Falling In Love with the Rascal in a Suit
Starring Mark McClafferty & Rebecca Stoughton
Betty works two jobs to support her mom: cleaning hotel rooms by day and stripping by night. When notorious mob boss, Marcus, walks into her club in an attempt to fix his ahem performance issues, he finds Betty to be the cure.
My Verdict: The acting was decent but the plot was just okay. It's decent enough.

Starring Mark McClafferty & Faith Orta
Luke has been perpetually plagued with a strange allergy: he's allergic to every woman he touches. So when he encounters Emma on a blind date and discovers he can touch her, he immediately proposes, not realizing that she's his employee.

Trigger warning: attempted rape

After a chance night with Elliot, a man she meets at a club who is secretly a billionaire, Sara is stunned to learn she’s pregnant. Even more unexpected, Elliot responds by asking her to marry him.

Starring Grace Woods Swanson & Myles Clohessy
In a drunken fury, Molly hatches a wild plan to get revenge on her cheating ex, Connor: seduce his attractive billionaire uncle.

Pieces of Lucifer’s soul end up inside an unlucky girl named Lilith. To reclaim what was lost, he remains constantly near her, refusing to leave her side. Yet there’s something about this seemingly ordinary human that draws the Lord of Hell toward her in ways he can’t ignore.

★☆☆☆☆ SKIP IT.

Starring Rosa Singerman & Greg Rogstad
Brooke is an assistant who secretly creates spicy webcomics under the alias Kitten, inspired by her online fantasy man, Vox. When she discovers Vox is actually her demanding boss, she struggles to keep her hidden identity—and her feelings—under control while balancing both sides of her life.

To qualify for a fencing scholarship, Ari must pose as a boy to win a fencing tournament. Unfortunately, she ends up running into and rooming with an old flame, and must keep her identity a secret. (Yes, it is basically the plot of She's The Man.)
My verdict: It's silly but fun. I enjoyed it overall, but the leads don't have as much chemistry as I'd hope for.
★★★☆☆ It's entertaining.

My Hockey Alpha
Starring Grace Woods Swanson & Nicolas James Wilson
After a breakup, Nina has a one-night encounter with star hockey player Enzo Rivers. She vows to stay away from athletes for good, but Enzo isn’t ready to let her go, and he’s keeping a dangerous secret—he’s a werewolf, and Nina is his destined mate.
My verdict: It was entertaining to see how the story manage to pair werewolves and hockey, but it just didn't wow me.
★★★☆☆ It's fine.

My Secret with Country Boys
Starring Casey Schryer, Evan Adams, & Andrew Devon Johnson
After her parents die in plane crash, city girl Sofia is sent to live with her godmother in the country. There, she uncovers that her mother was a witch—and she might be too.

Starring Halle Fletcher & Landry Grandstaff
Mafia heir Mason Richter is instantly smitten when he meets Grace, a nun and choir girl who is anything but saintly. He agrees to help her get revenge on the family that murdered her mother.

★★★★★ MUST WATCH!

Starring Hannah Lowery & Evan Adams
Jenny finds herself caught in a forbidden romance with Xavier—a cocky playboy hockey player and her brother's rival on the ice.
My verdict: The acting is a bit hit-or-miss in this one and the plot is just average, but Evan Adams manages to carry it.

Trigger warning: attempted rape

Revenge Marriage Sweet Love

After her sister Rebecca takes both her boyfriend Ethan and her inheritance, Cate is left betrayed and furious. In a drunken attempt at revenge, she sets her sights on Ethan’s handsome uncle, Shaun.

★★★☆☆ It's fine.

Riding Into Love
Starring Haley Lohrli & Landon Tavernier
Kat gets a job working in Colton Lyon's motorcycle shop, and the two have immediate chemistry. But Kat is running from a complicated past that's about to catch up with her.
My verdict: It's okay. The plot is entertaining but the lead couple is lacking in chemistry and romantic development.
★★☆☆☆ SKIP IT.
*Based on the Book Lyon's Crew by Jordan Silver

Seducing Mr Sterling
Starring Eric Guilmette & Kyra Wisely
Emma agrees to seduce cold CEO Ethan Sterling in exchange for the money to cover her ailling sister's hospital treatments. But as they get closer, Emma starts having second thoughts about the arrangement.
My verdict: Both lead actors are solid, but it felt like there was a lot of unnecessary plot tacked on at the end. It's a fun watch, but there's nothing worthwhile after episode 43.
★★★☆☆ Watch through the end of episode 43, then bail.
Trigger warning: ableism, attempted rape

Sex Education by My Best Friend
Starring Trinity Johnston & Cameron Porras
After being bullied over being a virgin, Emma recruits her best friend Chase as a sex tutor to help her learn the ropes and win over her crush.

After being left waiting in the rain by her pen pal, Aurora moves on with her life—only to marry sailor Damien Hawke ten years later and discover he's the same man who never showed up.
